Anaheim is a city in Orange County, California, located 28 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Disneyland, of course, is Anaheim's main claim to fame since first opening in 1955. California Adventure is the new addition to Disneyland, with separate admission fees. Anaheim's largest and most important industry is tourism. Its Anaheim Convention Center is home to many national conferences, and the world-famous Disneyland Resort is by far the city's largest employer. Many hotels, especially in the city's Resort district, serve theme park tourists and conventiongoers. Anaheim ranks as one of the safest cities of its size in the nation.
