Wyoming is a state within the Western part of the United States. Wyoming is also know an the Big Wonderful Wyoming, The Equality State and also the Cowboy State. With a population of around 494, 000 people, Wyoming is on of the United States smallest population.

Wyoming’s capital city is Cheyenne, named by Grenville Dodge for the Native American Cheyenne nation, one of the most famous and prominent Great Plains tribes, closely allied with the Arapaho.

There are many famous rivers that begin or flow through the state of Wyoming including the Yellowstone River, Powder River, and the Snake River. It is generally known as arid state with much of its land getting less than 10” of rainfall a year, which is surely not very conducive for farming.

There are several major mountain ranges in the state of Wyoming, but all of them are a part of the Rocky Mountains. If you go to the Snowy Range in the south central part of the state, you will notice that it is an extension of the Colorado Rockies in both its geology as well as it’s appearance. You can also like to visit the Grand Teton National Park, which preserves the most scenic section of the Teton Range of mountains.
