| Toronto, Ontario Canada
Toronto is a very happening, multicultural and dynamic city with something going on at very corner, however, in comparison to all other major cities you do feel rather safe here, without having to constantly watch your personal belongings as you stroll down the street. This city feels as though it is never-ending and finding your way around can get pretty challenging, however the locals are very friendly and always offer to help. In fact, Yonge Street in downtown Toronto is also listed in the Guiness Book of records as the longest street in the world. If you are looking for some good shopping destinations, Hudson’s Bay Centre on Bloor and Yonge is the place to be, here you will find just about anything you can ever possibly need and also known to offer some good bargains!
The city offers an astounding heavily modernized skyline which is best approached by night for that remarkable first time look at it, which is guaranteed to make you fall in love with this city.
Needless say that if you are visiting Toronto, Niagara falls need to be on your agenda! Just over an hour away from downtown Toronto by car, the falls are truly magnificent. There are boat cruises that cruise within 100 metres from the falls and here you can witness the great force of the water which gushes down at a speed of 14million liters per minute. Whilst visiting the falls, it is also recommended that you visit the Niagara Falls Museum were some of the famous ‘daredevils’ are remembered such as Blondin who crossed the waterfall on a tightrope. If you’re not one of these daredevils it is always recommended to clad yourself from head to toe in raincoats and other waterproof attire because you are surely bound to get drenched.
Another famous landmark is the CN Tower, Toronto’s most visible landmark, towering at 553.3 metres. It is the world’s tallest free-standing building and is located in the heart of the city. Entrance is free and is open daily to the public.
For a good night out especially during summer nights make sure you visit the Harbourfront Centre were you can find many stores, restaurants and theatres. There are many performances to attend and interesting places to visit such as the Harbourfront Antique Market and why not go for a romantic dinner cruise around the Toronto islands.
One cannot mention Toronto without mentioning it’s main attraction – Paramount Canada’s Wonderland, Canada’s adrenaline packed theme park with over 200 attractions. A definite wonderland for the young and old. Canada’s Wonderland hosts family rides, over 60 thrill rides, live shows, water parks and so much more which I just cannot put in words…you will just have to experience for yourself!
