The Northwest Territories are mostly a stretch of white which is home to many polar bears and the occasional igloo. The sun rarely shines here and the temperature gets very frosty which solidifies the snow all the way through to spring. During autumn and winter months, the Northern lights come out which attracts many visitors from all around the world.

The Northwest Territories are home to some of Canada’s most beautiful natural parks and rivers and it would be appropriate to say that this province represents a manifestation of harmony between nature, seacoast and life.

Many people visit the Northwest Territories during the summer months for a glimpse or a photograph of some beautiful birds such as eagles and ravens. There are many organized tours were one can camp out for several days to enjoy sightings of these birds.
