Situated in the field of Cetinje, under the mountain Lovcen, Cetinje is the city that is treasurer of Montenegrin cultural and historic heritage. It scent with the architecture from 18th and 19th century that comes from rich greenery of this small city. Cetinje is the capital of Montenegro and Crnogorsko - primorska Metropolitanate. During King Nikola’s rule built many embassies that today give specific looks. Two most representable buildings are Monastery of Cetinje and Biljarda. Monastery of Cetinje was built in 1701. Turks destroyed it for several times but the people built it again. There are relics of Saint Petar of Cetinje one the lustrous persons of Montenegrin history. Monastery of Cetinje represented spiritual and political seat of Montenegrin people. For the state purpose Njegos built Biljarda, Building that took its name after the pool (billiard) that this exceptional poet, metropolitan, philosopher and statesman liked to play. Cetinje abounds in museums, there are Art Academy, parks and from Orlov krs there is great view of the city and the mountain of Lovcen.
