The harmonious apperance andelegant ornamentation of the city center, having a beuty exeptional in Europe, captivates our visitors. Széchenyi Square is located in the center of the city. The view of the Town Hall which is situated here, painted yellow and built in the Baroque style, together with all the palatial buildings surrounding the square, is unforgettable. Walking on from the square to the entrance of Kárász street, two carnival statues announce the fact that Szeged is a festival city, and the local residents here are happy to welcome visitors with open arms. Klauzás Square and Kárász Street from the city's promenade. This location provides a vibrant atmosphere in both summer and winter, and though the present setting is modern, the location still retains countless small wondes which remind us of the past. The facedes of the buildings, which have weathered the storm down the centuries, allow the spectator to become immersed in a wealt of fine detail. These buildings embody the intellectually of the city, even when the human thoughts whithin their walls are forever changing. The benches on Dugonics Square and in the Móre Park attrackt city residents and tourists alike who are longing to relay and daydream. Listening to the restful splashing of the nearby fountains, people sitting here can immerse themselves in their thoughts, even during the busiest hours of the day. A stroll along the bank of the river Tisza can't be overlooked, as the river alway shows us a different face, looking as if it's seeking a variety to amaze the people living along it's banks. The riverbank is perhaps the most beautiful place to view the Szeged sunrise from.
