| Lucerne, Switzerland
Lucerne is centrally located on the northwest shore of Lake Lucerne. A charming 700 year old medieval town were postcards come to life. It is rather easy to enjoy a stress free stroll around the city as it is totally car free. Lucerne is also home to the famous ‘Kapellbrucke’ Chapel Bridge, constructed in the 14th Century. It hosts beautiful paintings which depict the city’s history, that were added in the 17th Century. This chapel has an attached octagonal water tower which has become the landmark of Lucerne. Some enjoyable tourist activities include the scenic steam boat ride along the Reuss River or a mountain railway ride up to the pre-alpine summits.
