The older part of Grenoble is located on the right bank of the river; there are historical buildings such as the 11th century Church of Saint-Laurent, the 11th century Carthusian Monastery and the Cathedral of Notre Dame. With numerous medieval buildings and nearby Alps this town is definatley set to please most taste.
