| Mönchengladbach is an endearing place and one worth living in. With its population of almost 270,000, it is the largest city to the left of the Lower Rhine. Its character is shaped by a delightful combination of urban flair and country charm – it is not for nothing that the city is also called the ‘city in the countryside’ what with its numerous parks and woods.
