| A stranger visiting Deryneia can visit churches, chapels and country churches all of historical and architectural interest . The old church dedicated to the Virgin Mary stands in the centre of Deryneia. It was initially a very small church with a Byzantine dome. It was built in the late 15th or early 16th century. Two new naves were annexed later on. A plate on the wall tells us that the work was finished in January 1727.

| Deryneia Folk Art Museum is housed in an old traditional house at 2 Demetris Lipertis Street.
The indoor and outdoor spaces of the Folk Art Museum, as well as the exhibition of the different household items and farming tools were arranged in collaboration with the Cyprus Handicraft Service and showing how functional the Cypriot traditional house could be.
