Delamere forest, in French meaning ‘the forest of the meres’ from Norman times, being the remains of the great forest of Mara and Mondrum. Within the forest is Blakemere Moss, an internationally-recognised Site of Special Scientific Interest. Delamere Forest Park is the Cheshire's largest woodland, both a place for families to let off steam and a place to escape the crowds and find peace in the heart of the forest.
