This unique and outstanding city was founded over 1,500 years ago and it consists of 110 islands which are all inter-connected through canals and hundreds of bridges. One of the most famed being the Rialto Bridge.
There are copious of tourist attractions to visit in this wonderful city, including the basilica of San Marco, Piazza San Marco and Palazzo Ducale a gothic style palace which contains works of arts by many world famous masters such as Picasso, Bellini, Titian and many more.
Most of the public transport in Venice is situated in the canals where one can buy rides through the canals on water taxis. These are very fast and also very efficient.
Needless state that the most renowned water trip of all is the moonlight trip along the most romantic canals on the world famous Gondola. This is definitely a breathtaking experience and a definite must!
