| Tata is referred to as "the city of waters". It is an ideal place for those who are looking for physical recreation in a quiet little town. It is located just 3 Kilometers away from the M1 highway which connetcs Budapest and Vienna, and 70 Kilometers from Budapest. One of the main tourist sights of the city is the Zsigmond castle, built in the 14th century. The castle is at the banks of the Old Lake, offering excellent opportunity for water sports and recreation. A small boat is available for sightseeing.
