Berlin is increasingly becoming popular for hosting sportive events such as the German Gymnastics festival, the World Beach Volley ball championship and Berlin will also be hosting the FIFA 2006 WM.

For those of you who have recently visited Berlin you would have noticed that year 2005 has been totally dedicated to Albert Einstein on the anniversary of the 50 years from his death. Many exhibitions are currently being held all over Berlin to commemorate his life and his inventions such as the theory of relativity.

Berlin can also be considered as a new or refurbished city. Since the fall of the Berlin wall in 1990 the city has been re-unified as one and has since become the capital of Germany again. It is a city with a turbulent past and a very bright future ahead.

This city is truly magnificent with years of history at every corner. To experience this history one should visit many of Berlin’s history museums and once can still view the remains of the Berlin Wall.

Berlin is also a shopping Mecca and you are sure to find anything you want here. This city has also become famous for it’s nightlife and festivals which go on here all year round, making Berlin a bustling and lively city.
