| Sesimbra, Setubal Portugal
Set on a curving turquoise bay 40 km south of Lisbon, Sesimbra is both an attractive fishing town and popular tourist resort. Protected from north winds by the slopes of the Serra da Arrabida, it was occupied by the Romans and later the Moors. Due to it’s particular position near the mouth of the Sado river and it’s natural harbour, it’s an important fishing town. Besides fishing, the most significant revenues in Sesimbra come from tourism. The town is famous for its beaches and fish restaurants. A tourist travelling to Sesimbra can appreciate its beaches, traditional fish restaurants and the Arrabida National Park.
