Evora is the capital city of the Alentejo region and is also remarkably the most charming town in Alentejo. Evora was a town of greater importance in the past and it is in this city that many important decisions were made.
The city of Evora is also a UNESCO world heritage site thanks to the diversity of well preserved architectures, palaces and the whole city in general. Some of the varieties of architectures include Gothic, Baroque, Roman and Mannerist styles all of which are immensely beautiful in their own way.
A section of the city is surrounded by walls which have also contributed to the pristine preservation of the town and monuments.
