Another famous tourist destination, Granada was once the capital of the Moors. Granada is also famously know for it’s Alhambra, which is a world-famous Arabian palace which was built in the 14th Century. This city lies on the foot of the Sierra Nevada nature park. Here you will find the highest mountains in the Iberian Peninsula with Mt. Mulhacen towering at 3000m. Granada consists of numerous Spanish characteristic narrow streets, all beautifully decorated with flowers. Some beautiful beaches in the Costa Del Sol which forms part of Granada province include; Salobrena, La Herradura which is a fishing village and the Torrenueva. There are many remarkable monuments to visit in the province such as the beautiful renaissance Cathedral which is considered to be an important Spanish architecture. The façade of this cathedral are truly breath-taking. The Capilla Real – The Royal Chapel where one can visit the King’s Tombs of marble from Carrara.
