Cuenca is a medieval city which has been declared a ‘Patrimony of Humanity’ by UNESCO. It is often referred to as the enchanting city due to the peculiar forms which have been created by erosion. There is a lot to do in this city and why not start by visiting the museum of abstract art which is located on one of the most photographed hanging house in Cuenco. This house dates back to 400AD. The 12th century cathedral is definatley worth a visit. It is situated in the Plaza Mayor. Entrance is free however there is an admission charge to visit the gold and silver works.
