Catalonia is the region very well known for its capital city Barcelona and for its beautiful Costa Brava. It is a region whose culture is predominantly Mediterranean. However one cannot forget that together with the endless beaches and Mediterranean Sea, here you can also visit the mountain ranges of the Pyrenees in the North which border France. The language in this region is Catalonian however everyone understands Castilian Spanish and if you have no knowledge of Spanish whatsoever you can still get your point across in French.
