The smallest northern region in the North of Italy, situated between France and Switzerland is rich in history and spectacular views.
Surrounded by alpine views this region caters for winter and summer tourism.
It is a great destination for a relaxing holidays where one can indulge in bike rides and walks along the picturesque and untouched country side. It is surrounded by some well known mountainous peaks such as Monte Bianco, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso. Once in the Gran Paradiso region one can also visit the Nature Park which is one of the earliest parks in Italy. This park hosts many valleys, lakes and is home to a large number of eagles, mountain goats and marmots.
The regional capital of this region is Aosta, a very cultural and touristic centre. One can visit some of the astonishing castles which house some several works of arts.Valle D’Aosta also offers some well established ski resorts namely; Courmayer, Champuloc and Cervinia.
