This region faces the Tyrrhenian Sea and offers a beautiful coastline. Facing Naples one can also find the charming islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida.
Naples, also the capital city of the Campania region, is a favourite amongst travelers and also very well renowned for it’s mount Vesuvius. Naples has a number of historic buildings which are definatley worth visiting such as the church of Santa Chiara and it’s cloister, the chapel of San Saero, the church of San Giacomo degli spagnoli. You will also come across several craftsmen along the street of San Gregorio Armeno.
Naples is also well known amongst its visitors as being colourful and rather vibrant, although you might be warned against crime and several other natural disasters such as earthquakes. This city is also renowned for it’s food namely the famous pasta Napolitana and Pizza.
Some other regions which are definatley worth a visit are Sorrento where one can enjoy a beautiful harbour and scenic cliffs, the small resort of Positano and last but not least the famous Pompei.
