Curacao is an island in the southern part of the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Venezuela. It is the part of the famous ABC islands ( standing for Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao ).

Curacao belongs to the Netherlands Antilles and is a self-governing part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The capital of Curacao Island is Willemstad.

Curacao is renowned for its coral reefs, which make it an excellent spot for scuba diving, and thousands of tourist flock here to enjoy the site. One of the best things that this island has for Scuba diving is that the sea floor drops off steeply within a few hundred feet of the shore, and the reef can easily be reached without a boat.

Curacao also has a lot of places where one can hike and enjoy a camping tour here. The island also has some Salines, which are saltwater lakes where flamingos fly out to rest and feed - a treat to watch those big birds inhabiting this place! The food of the island is literally sweet and you will lick your fingers once you taste it!

Curacao is full of life and its luxuries and is inviting in all its varities and diversities.
