Oeiras is both a parish and a municipality in western Lisbon Metropolitan Area. It's well known by Taguspark, a science and technology park, and it is where the National Stadium is located, and also by the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (a private research institution). A NATO headquarters and the Portuguese Maritime Academy.
