Assam is a northeastern state of India, one among the Seven Sister States, and is located just below the eastern Himalayan foothills. The state consists of the northern Brahmaputra valley, the middle Karbi Cachar hills, and the southern Barak Valley. During the summer months, the state experiences humidity, for, heavy rainfall occurs between March and September; however, the temperature never reaches to its extreme positions in any season. The state is full of forests, wildlife, rivers, and waterways. Assam provides the finest and the most expensive tea in the world, as it produces large amounts of tea making India the biggest exporter of tea in the world.
