Lakshadweep, which means hundred thousand islands, is the smallest Indian Union Territory, which is located in Arabian Sea. The main islands of the territory are Kavaratti, Agatti, Minicoy, and Amini. To visit the islands tourists may need a permit and some islands are not open for foreign nationals.
