Manipur, origin of the game polo, is a northeastern state in India. The state was also described as "Switzerland of India". People of foreign origin must have a restricted area permit for entering the state of Manipur. Also these permits are valid only for 10 days, and the permission is granted only for tours arranged by the authorised travel agents. A rare and beautiful lily— The Siroi Lily, is found only in the upper reaches of the Siroi Hills in Manipur. Manipur is renowned around the world for its classical and folk dances, including the graceful and soft Raas Lila, and the Maibi dance. Kaibul Lamjao National Park in Loktak lake is the natural habitat of the rare and endangered Brow antlered Deer.
