Nagaland is in a northeastern and the farthest-lying state in India. Most of the Nagaland is a mountainous region which includes Naga Hills and Mount Saramati as state's highest peak Nagaland is rich in flora and fauna, for, about one-sixth of Nagaland is covered under the tropical and sub-tropical evergreen forests. State’s forests provides shelter for a large number of rhinoceroses, foxes, civet cats, tigers, wild dogs, pangolins, porcupines, elephants, leopards, bears, many species of monkeys, sambar, deers, oxen and buffaloes. Nagaland experiences a high humidity levels. The state is largely dependent on the roads to have links with the rest of the country, though railways and air links are there but are indirect.
