Guizhou, a southwestern province of the People's Republic of China, is a mountainous province; however, it is hillier in the west while the eastern and southern portions are relatively flat. A few seasonal changes take place in the province, though the climate is subtropical humid. However, Guizhou is relatively a poor and underdeveloped province, and some of the major industries include, timber, forestry, and energy.
Important cities of the province include: Anshun, Kaili, Zunyi, and Qingzhen. Towns such as Rongjiang, Liping, Diping and Zhaoxing are scattered amongst the hills along the border with Guangxi.
Major tourist attractions of the province include Wind and Rain Bridges built by the Dong minority people, and Huangguoshu Waterfall, the biggest waterfall in China. Also, he southeastern corner of Guizhou is known for its unique Dong minority culture.
