Hainan, a province of the People's Republic of China, is located at the southern end of the country, and consists several islands. While speaking Chinese, it is commonly called as Hainan Sheng so as not mix with the name of Hainan Island, as only Hainan refers to the island.
Hainan experiences a tropical moist monsoon climate, with the temperature changing less than 15 degree Celsius. However, January and February are the coldest months, while July and August being the hottest months.
Hainan is a popular tourist spot, as it is full of greenery coupled with its beautiful beaches, clean air, luxurious hot springs, and beautiful scenery. Some of the top tourist sites include Baishi Ridge Scenic Zone, Baihua Ridge Dadonghai Tourist Resort, Guantang Hot Spring Resort, Qizhi Shan Seven Finger Mountain, Shishan Volcanic Garden; Wanquan River, and Yalong bay National Resort.
