Jiangxi, a province of the People's Republic of China, is spanning from the banks of the Yangtze River in the north into hillier areas in the south. Historically, the province is one of the more wild places of central China, as mountainous terrains and large forests cover a large part of Jiangxi. South China Tigers have been seen as recently here. However, other wildlife, though not plentiful, is multifarious in Jiangxi than in many other developed areas of China. Other major tourist attractions include the mountain peaks of Lushan National Park, a world heritage site, located near the northern port city of Jiujiang is the resort area of Mount Lushan, and is full of stunning sceneries, well known tourist destination in China besides being expensive; the resort area of Longhushan, near the small city of Yingtan is the birthplace of Taoism, and has many interesting temples, cave complexes, mountains and villages.
