Shaanxi, a province of the People's Republic of China, and is located in the north-central part of the country. Generally, the southern part of the province receives more rain, however, the northern part is cold during winter while very hot in summer with average temperature ranging between -11°C to 3.5°C in the month of January, while it is between 21°C to 28°C in the month of July.
Some of the major tourist destinations in Shaanxi are Terracotta ArmyBanpo Neolithic village, near Xi'an; Daqin Pagoda; Imperial mausoleums; Mount Huashan, one of the five most famous mountains in China; Mount Taibaishan, the highest peak of the Qinling Range; Mausoleum and Terracotta Army Museum of the First Qin Emperor in Xi'an, a world heritage site; and Zhao Mausoleum.
