Zhejiang, a province of the People's Republic of China, is located at the eastern coast of the country. Along the ragged coastline of Zhejiang, there are over 3000 islands. Climate of Zhejiang is humid subtropical. The spring season starting in March is rainy in nature; whereas, June to September is the summer season, and is long, hot and humid. Winter season is short but cold except in the far south. However, fall is generally warm, dry, and sunny.
Some of the famous tourist places in Zhejiang are Baoguo Temple, the oldest intact wooden structure in Southern China; Hangzhou, the ancient capital; Putuo Shan, one of the most famous Buddhist mountains of China; Qita Temple in Ningbo; Tiantai Shan, a mountain important to Zen Buddhism; waterway towns suc as Shaoxing, Wuzhen; West Lake in Hangzhou; and Yandang Shan, a mountainous scenic area.
