| Bodo is a port and the administrative centre for Nordland fylke (county), north-central Norway. It is located at the northern entrance to Salt Fjord. It is a relatively fast growing city with some 40,000 inhabitants.

| Nordland’s largest city is perched just inside the Artic Circle at the northern terminus of the coastal railway line. Despite its remote location ringed by mountains and the sea, Bodo is a commercial center known for its shipbuilding and repair yards. |
